Do you treat my condition?
We have compiled a list of the most common issues we treat, but this list is not all inclusive. If you don’t see your problem listed, please call us to discuss the specific of your case. If the problem is musculoskeletal in nature and does not require surgery, we can help you.
Conditions We Treat:
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
At Molina Physical Therapy, we teach you how to do your exercises at home, if appropriate, so we don’t need to waste your time watching you exercise at each session. We also spend much of our time performing hands on techniques that get better results than exercises alone, so 2-6 sessions is what most people will need if your injury is acute. If your condition is chronic, pain that has been present for a long time takes longer to fix. Some people with chronic conditions prefer to see us on a maintenance basis to keep the chronic condition at bay. A good example of this is people whom benefit from cupping or dry needling for chronic back pain.
Do you accept my insurance?
Molina PT, LLC is a small concierge PT clinic that treats only one patient at a time focusing on quality time to provide care that is specifically tailored to meet your needs and goals. We are out of network with private insurance because many insurances have placed limitations on our ability to rehabilitate you fully. However, we do accept HSA and FSA cards, as well as cash, check or credit cards. We are happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company to be reimbursed for any out of network benefits that your insurance will reimburse. We accept Medicare and Medicaid.
Will My Treatment Be More Expensive If I Don’t Use Insurance?
Most healthy people never meet their out of pocket insurance deductible in a calendar year. You will pay a cash rate at a PT clinic that accepts insurance until you have met your deductible. These clinics will usually tell you that you will need 2 PT visits a week for 4-6 weeks, especially if you have seen a physician, who wrote you a referral for physical therapy. At Molina PT, you will usually be seen 1-4 times for the same problem, saving you money. Because we get to spend the entire session with you, focusing on your issues, you will get better care and will need fewer visits to heal.
Do I Need a Referral or Prescription for Physical Therapy?
No. This is one of the benefits of not using your insurance. Even If your insurance is Medicare, you do not need to see a physician before seeing us and you do not need a referral. We can also treat you for multiple problems at the same time. You can call today to make an appointment.
What Can I Expect From My First Session?
The initial evaluation will be a comprehensive evaluation of your injury and full body mobility, discussion of your pain or injury and the appropriate treatment for your problem. You will be given corrective exercises and education so that you have a plan of action at home. You will receive manual therapy on each session in the clinic.
What Should I Wear?
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing. If we are looking at your hip or leg, bring shorts and for women, if we are looking at your upper back or shoulder, wear a sports bra or tank top.
How Soon After An Injury Should I Make An Appointment?
The longer you wait to get treatment from an injury, the longer it will take to heal. Over time, injured tissue becomes altered and the brain reacts to pain in different ways when it has been present for some time. Acute injuries heal quicker, but even a chronic injury can be helped. Ignoring the pain will not make it go away.
